Firstly we need to thank all our wonderful customers for their support during 2011. What a year and how fast has it 90ne. Silver Fleece has turned 60, Rick and I had our first real holiday to the States for 3 weeks, which was a wonderful experience and whetted our appetite for more.

Sophie’s little Logan turned one and now runs around with all chasing.

Annie has fitted right in with Silver Fleece and is proving to be the staff member we all thought she would be.

We are so proud of all our staff for their hard work and commitment to supplying you with the product you need and want when you need and want it.

 Innovative Process

We have begun some innovative systems to keep track of orders and make it easier for everyone to follow up on customer requests and keep you “in the loop”.

Ethical Clothing

Silver Fleece has Ethical Clothing accreditation and a meet you maker page on their website. We are approved Australian Made Australian Owned and are even more determined to continue knitting and manufacturing in Australia and purchasing Australian wool and yarns.

Yarn Price

Speaking of wool – you would all be aware of the rise in wool yarn over the past 14 months of 30%. We have passed on only the increased cost of wool to customers and have covered all other increased costs ourselves. Let’s hope that the grower is getting some of the high price.

New Press

The new press has been installed and what was expected to be working in July was finally switched on at the end of September – only a 3 month delay. We will still follow through with our promises of getting compacted [shrunk] fabric samples to you as soon as we can and expect to be able to do this as soon as we have the Italian trainer who is due early 2012.

Needless to say what we thought should have been a reasonably simple processturned into a horrific story that may well have compared to the TV show “seconds from disaster”.

E.Shop and eSS Range

Our e.shop is now live with a wonderful range of fun rugby and pure wool garments made from all Australian wool for both males and females. We have also released a new lightweight rugby range in great colours for ladies.

Accessories, scarves and baby blankets are some of the new product we have on offer. If any of our customers want to purchase just let us know for the “mates rate”.

New Leavers Page

We will have a specific “leavers” page opening soon that will make it even easier for your seniors to design their own garments. Not just colour in an existing range, but actually design and use a greater range of product including Lederman Jackets, Fleect product, hoodies and rugby. It will make the total process easy and fun… will let you know as soon as it becomes live.

Silver Fleece is a 60 year old, “SA Great” knitting mill near Adelaide in South Australia and we supply 100% pure cotton, 100% pure wool, wool blends and cotton blends in our Australian Test jerseys, Sheffield Shield cricket vests and jumpers, supersoft wool jumpers for schools and colleges plus woollen jumpers and cardigans for the business and corporate customers. Cricket jumpers are also available in acrylic or acrylic blend. We supply poly cotton rugby jerseys, polo shirts, tee shirts, singlets and the softest interlock skivvies. All our collars and trims are custom made and we are more than happy to personalise them for you, otherwise we have embroidery, heatseals and screen printing custom design options available for logos, class names, teams, numbers and individual names for school leaver’s hoodies or jumpers.
